The Columbia Marquette Adolescent Needs School (COMAN), located at Fort Winnebago (Portage), is designed for students who have been identified with an emotional behavioral disability and are experiencing significant behavioral, social and academic difficulties in a traditional school setting. COMAN is a program designed to transition students back to their home school district or employment.
COMAN staff focus on instruction that is directly linked to the State Standards, while focusing on each individual student’s academic and social-emotional needs. The school provides a highly structured setting that encourages positive behavioral feedback and supports for students. Student cost is calculated based on overall student enrollment and overall program costs.
