**9-DAY VIRTUAL TRAINING**
Certification Training for Direct Service Providers
Training Dates: WEDNESDAYS in 2025
April 9, 16, 23, 30; May 7, 14, 21, 28; June 4, 2025
NOTE: if you have a conflict with one or more of the listed dates please register for a different class - participation in ALL classes is required to earn the credential
Hours: 8:30a - 4:30p (Central time zone)
Training Location: VIRTUAL
Cost: $1050/participant (includes all training materials)
Audience:
Any Head Start staff person who works directly with families, e.g. Family Service Workers, HS & EHS Teachers, Home Visitors, Child Care Partners, and Coordinators.
Portage Project Family Certification Training meets the requirements of §1302.91 (e) (7) Family services staff who work directly with families on the family partnership process.
Training Objectives:
- Build knowledge, skills & capacities in the FSC content areas
- Practice & apply content knowledge through work with families
- Enhance understanding & application of content through ongoing networking & dialogue with other FSC participants
- Demonstrate competencies through assessment and portfolio activities
Expectations for Earning the Credential:
Participants will:
- Attend and participate in each class session
- Complete and submit 12 portfolio assignments
- Complete and present a project
Cancelation Policy:
- Family Service Credential Full Refund if canceled ON/BEFORE March 26, 2025.
- Participants who cancel AFTER the cancelation deadline, or for any reason do not attend, will be billed the full fee.
- Substitutions are allowed within the same agency for the same training dates.
