Option 1: CTE in a Minute
Back by popular demand!
Through this WISELearn Curation Project, CESA 5 will pay Wisconsin CTE teachers $50 per WISELearn resource & explainer video curated.
Eligible instructors:
- Business and Information Technology,
- Health Science, and
- Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurship teachers
Instructors may curate up to 10 resources for a total of $500.
127 resources are available for contract on a first come, first serve basis.
Each resource should be accompanied by an approximately 1 minute video explaining how to best utilize the resource. The video should be included in WISELearn with the resource.
Health Science Instructors may begin applying 12.6.19.
B&IT and MMEE instructors may begin applying 12.16.19.
Process
1. Submit this form.
2. Upon completing the form, you will be emailed a curation contract and a W9. Please complete, sign, and return them to Joel Mindham, at mindhamj@cesa5.org.
3. Add your resource and video to WISELearn and submit the public link WISELearn link to your resource via this form.
Option 2: WISELearn Elements of Quality CTE Programs Module Curation
The purpose of this project is to curate up to 12 video modules, one for each of the 12 elements of the ACTE's Quality CTE Program of Study Framework, describing best practices in implementing the elements in Wisconsin Business & Information Technology and Marketing, Management and Entrepreneurship programs.
Video modules should be 10-15 minutes in length and describe how your district employs best practices in the element you contract for. Instructors may contract for one element at a rate of $500.
Applicants must apply to the DPI to request approval to contract for the desired element using the form below. The application will be updated periodically to reflect elements still available for contract.
Process
1. Submit the interest application form to the DPI for your element of choice.
2. After receiving approval from the DPI, submit this form to receive your contract and W9.
3. Upon completing the form, you will be emailed a curation contract and a W9. Please complete, sign, and return them to Joel Mindham, at mindhamj@cesa5.org.
4. Add your video module to WISELearn and submit the public link WISELearn link to your resource via this form.
Tips for Successful Submissions
- If you have not already, you will need to create a WISELearn account, or sign-in with your Google account. If you create an account (not simply signing in with Google), check your email for a confirmation link before publishing your resources.
- Create the resource's explainer video before attempting to publishing your resource.
- For resource submissions, the video should include your name, school, position, content/grade level the resources is intended for, how to access, and how to use the resource.
- For elements of high quality programs submissions, the video should include your name, school, position, and the strategies your district utilizes to meet the components of your contracted element.
- For both options, you are not require to personally appear in the video.

- Access the WISELearn 'Resource Builder'
- Write
- Title your resource.
- Include the file or link to the resource you are sharing.
- Include a description of how you use the resource with your students.
- Include your video file. (paper clip - "Insert Media")
- Describe
- Provide a brief summary of your resource that will be included in search results.
- Provide the meta data requested.
